This project required working with the client company’s corporate IT personally, remotely, and on-site to ensure the job was completed correctly. The main scope was a network room cleanup consisting of rewiring and relabeling cables to improve the marketing agency’s network setup efficiency. The client’s old setup was not ideal because of unorganized cubicle wiring, which was also enhanced.

Here, the TechVoo team worked with the in-house IT group to map all existing cables to streamline the rewiring process and maintain accurate connections.
Once the TechVoo team mapped all the connections, they began cleaning up the network racks by removing all cables. Next, the team rewired the cables and reran the lines through a high ceiling. The team then relabeled the wire for consistency and faster identification. All wires mounted on cubicles were rerouted to boxes underneath each desktop for better organization and less clutter.

Since the TechVoo team maintained close communication with the client’s IT, both parties agreed on working after hours to accommodate server downtime. The TechVoo team scheduled their on-site work with this in mind, assuring they worked after regular business hours on several occasions. Lastly, the group replaced the old patch panels and reorganized the network racks while ensuring all connections were terminated and patched according to the port map.
